Taltsan! Everybody dance!

So today was the restoration dinner – good seeing so many people!

Great fun too we had a feather dance at the end (thanks for singing Heidi!!)  In Hanis, taltsan means “Dance! Everyone dance!”

The feather dance is done by Athabaskan people from the Tolowas to the Upper Coquille, and by Coos Bay people.  One word for it might be qalqalai, which means forward and back.
